SEWANEE, Tenn. 9/16/11 – The Sewanee Tigers fell to Covenant College at Juhan Gymnasium tonight by a score of 3-0 (25-11, 25-19, 25-18).
With the loss the Tigers fall to 4-6 on the season.
Jamie Sue Wilson led the Tigers in kills with nine and in digs with 15.
Rachel Schuman and
Erin Brahm contributed ten assists each.
Tarver Shimek had one service ace, while
Kayla Sewell led the way with three solo blocks and one block assist. Senior
Kim Conkell hit a season-high .444 for the match.
Sewanee will return to action next weekend when they play host to the SCAC East/Central Divisional at the Fowler Center. Other SCAC teams participating in the Saturday and Sunday event will be Birmingham-Southern College, Colorado College, Oglethorpe University, Hendrix College, Rhodes College, Millsaps College and Centre College.
