Sewanee Drops Match to Piedmont

SEWANEE, Tenn. (Oct. 28, 2011)
  The Sewanee Tigers were defeated by the Piedmont Lions 3-1 (25-17, 20-25, 25-15, 25-19) at Juhan Gymnasium tonight on "Dig for the Cure" night.
 
Donations were accepted at the door for Susan G. Koman for the Cure.
 
Freshman Jamie Sue Wilson led the Tigers with 14 kills, while Rachel Schuman posted 25 assists.  Kayla Sewell had 22 digs and five blocks.  Wilson and Nicole Klug contributed two service aces each.
 
With the loss Sewanee falls to 7-21 on the season.
 
The Tigers will wrap up their home schedule and celebrate "Senior Day" tomorrow when they face Wesleyan College at 12:00 noon. Sewanee seniors Blair Barrows and Kim Conkell will be honored prior to the start of the match.
