Box Score - Sewanee vs. Transylvania
LEXINGTON, Ky. 9/18/10 – The Sewanee Tigers fell to Kenyon and Transylvania today on the final day of play at the Transylvania Invitational. The final score of both matches was 3-0.
In their first match of the day against Kenyon, the Tigers were led in kills by Liz Boddiford (Forest Hill, Md., Maryvale Prep) with six. Tarver Shimek (Towson, Md., Towson) posted four digs and two service aces. Adrienne Borchardt (New Orleans, La., Ben Franklin) contributed 11 assists and Boddiford had two blocks.
Sewanee closed out the tournament with a loss to host Transylvania. Boddiford paced the Tigers with five kills and two blocks. Borchardt had ten assists. Lydia Day (The Plains, Va., Highland School) led with eight digs and Shimek had one service ace.
The Tigers will return to action next Saturday and Sunday as they host SCAC east/west divisional play at the Fowler Center. Teams in action besides Sewanee will include SCAC foes Southwestern University, Trinity University, Austin College, Colorado College, Oglethorpe University, Centre College and DePauw University.
