Biography

2010: Saw time on the court in 104games…collected 137 kills, 9 assists, 26 aces, 136 digs, and17 blocks…In the last win of the season posted 3 kills, 3aces, and 6 digs over Rust College…Named Tiger of the weekand All Tournament Team.

 

High School: Was a three-year letter winner atTowson High School in Towson, Maryland…Volleyball team wonCounty and Regional Championship every year and went undefeated in2 of 3 years, as well as finalists or semi-finalists in the statetournament every year…was named to the All-Division andAll-County Teams in 2008 and 2009.

 

Sewanee: Will be inducted into the Order ofGownsmen this fall…and on Dean’s List.

 

Personal: Daughter of Bill Shimek and SuellenWideman….born in Baltimore, Maryland…has one sister,Virginia Shimek…Intends to major in Environmental Studies:Ecology and Biodiversity.
