BIRMINGHAM, Ala. 3/22/09 – The Sewanee Tigers were defeated by Birmingham Southern in both ends of a softball doubleheader today in Birmingham, Ala. The Panthers won the first game 13-0 and the second game 14-0. The Tigers were no-hit in both games.
In the first game, Courtney Hinkle (Tallahassee, Fla., Maclay) went the distance and suffered the loss for Sewanee.
In the nightcap of the doubleheader, Regan Rau (Houston, Tex., St. John's) was charged with the loss.
Sewanee is now 0-6 on the season and will return to action on Wednesday as they host Covenant College in a doubleheader scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.
