Sophomore (2009): Played in 14 games, startingnine … finished third on the team with eight points …second in goals scored with four … two game winning goals… one of three players to tally two points in four differentgames.


Freshman (2008): Played in goal most of theseason … shut out six opponents, four of them in conference… played in15 games, starting 13 … recorded 1,220minutes … notched first career goal.

Personal: Virginia Matheson Zakas was born inAtlanta, Georgia … daughter of Dennis and Martie Zakas… two sisters, Page (21), and Cabell (12), and one brother,Ned (17) … her grandfather, Dick Edmunds, played tennis andbasketball at Hampden-Sydney … majoring in psychology with abusiness minor.
