Coach Smith on Derrick: “Derrick comes to the Mountain after a successful season and state tournament run at Brainerd High School in Chattanooga, Tenn. He brings our team speed and athleticism at the guard spot. Derrick is accustomed to playing at a fast pace and will fit well into our system of play. He will give us the ability to pressure the ball in the full court and dictate the tempo of the game. I expect Derrick to contribute early this season.”
