Norm Davis is in his 11th season as a volunteer assistant coach with the men's soccer program at Sewanee, joining the program in 2011.

Beginning his 54th year around soccer in 2022, Davis began his career coaching youth soccer in Centerville, Ohio before starting a program in Northville, Michigan.

While in Northville, Davis coached ages 16- to 19-year-old club team that dominated the greater Detroit area, composing a 56-6 record. In 2012, the city dedicated the soccer fields with a plaque in his honor. Today, over 10,000 youth plays soccer in the area. 

When Davis moved to Nashville, he coached travel and club teams in the U19 group.

Davis also served as a soccer official in the Detroit, Nashville and Franklin, Tenn. areas. 

In 2019, Davis shared his 50-plus years of coaching soccer in a book entitled Touchline Walks.
