Owen Robinson

Owen Robinson begins his second year as an assistant coach with men's lacrosse in 2024-25.

Last season Sewanee finished 11-5 overall for the second straight campaign, earning SAA regular season co-champions before falling in the SAA Tournament championship game. Nine players were voted All-SAA.

Drew Perun garnered Honorable Mention All-American accolades by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association, four players were named Academic All-District®, as selected by the College Sports Communicators, and a program-record 26 student-athletes were picked for the SAA Academic Honor Roll.

Robinson has worked as a Club Liaison (Director of Operations) for the Waterdogs Lacrosse Club in the Premier Lacrosse League for seven months before his time at Sewanee, assisting with equipment, meals and travel logistics as well as managing training camps, overseeing community and team media relations and creating itineraries for team travel and meetings.
 
He served for one year as the Volunteer Operations Director for South Florida women’s lacrosse, assisting with budgets, recruiting and travel along with managing recruiting camps. Robinson worked as the Head Coach for the Men’s Club Lacrosse team at the University of Tampa during the same time period, building a startup program in the MCLA.
 
He spent one year at Tennessee with the Men’s Club Lacrosse team in Assistant Coach and Director of Operations roles, developing game plans and practice schedules while managing team budgets and travel arrangements as well as organizing fundraisers, recruiting camps and skill clinics.
 
While at Tennessee, Robinson also worked in the athletic marketing department, facilitating in-game promotions and music and scheduling halftime shows during athletic events as well as promoting and enhancing marketing tactics for UT home events. 
 
As an undergraduate he served as the head coach for Men’s Club Lacrosse at Coastal Carolina after playing at CCU for two seasons, analyzing players and their abilities along with developing game plans and practice schedules. In addition, Robinson worked with the CCU athletics marketing department four years, facilitating game-day promotions for home events. 
 
As a student at Coastal Carolina, he served as the President of both the CCU Student Chanticleer Athletic Foundation and the Recreation and Sports Management Alliance as well as Vice President of the Club Sports Council.
 
He also worked for three years at Carolina Forest High School, teaching strategies, techniques and tactics for game play and mentored students in grades 7-12.
 
Robinson earned his bachelor’s in Recreation and Sports Management with a double minor in Coaching and Marketing from Coastal Carolina in May 2021. He received a master’s in Sports Management from the Tennessee in December 2022.
