Mason Hoehn C'16 enters his fifth season as an assistant coach in 2024-25 with the men's lacrosse program at his alma mater.

Last season Sewanee finished 11-5 overall for the second straight campaign, earning SAA regular season co-champions before falling in the SAA Tournament championship game for the second consecutive year. Nine players were voted All-SAA.

During the 2023 season, the Tigers posted an 11-5 record, registering double-digit wins for the first time since 2019. Sewanee secured a share of the SAA regular season championship and a second straight SAA Tournament championship game appearance.

Sewanee garnered 10 All-Conference selections, matching its highest total since 2017, and two student-athletes were recognized on the All-Region Team by the IMLCA.

In the classroom, three athletes were voted Academic All-District®, as selected by the College Sports Communicators. In addition, a then program-best 25 student-athletes were named to the SAA Academic Honor Roll.

The 2022 team finished 9-9 overall but played its best at the end of the year. Entering the conference tournament as the No. 4 seed, the Tigers won three straight games, including an overtime victory in the semifinals versus Birmingham-Southern, to clinch the program's fifth tournament championship.

Sewanee knocked off Rhodes in the championship game, securing its sixth appearance into the NCAA Championships. The program earned a home game in the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history, defeating Benedictine (Ill.) in the first round for the first-ever NCAA Tournament victory for the Tigers.

Four players were named All-Conference and in the classroom, 15 were listed on the Academic Honor Roll.

Because of COVID restrictions in 2021, the team played only three matches, but 20 student-athletes were named to the SAA Academic Honor Roll.

A former four-year letterwinner with the men's lacrosse team at Sewanee, Hoehn played in 43 career games with the Tigers. He was a member of four SAA regular season championships and three SAA Tournament titles. Additionally, he was a part of four NCAA Tournament appearances from 2013-16.
