Coach Smith on Sam: “Sam showed signs last season of a player who can influence the game on both ends of the court. Sam’s length allows him to defend taller players and his athletic ability allows him to play more than one position. He is still learning the game and has improved every day he has stepped on the court. I expect Sam to become more of a consistent scorer and a player who can defend our opponent’s best playmaker.”
