Hall enters his first year with the football program at the University of the South, bringing more than 30 years of coaching experience at the high school level in the state of Georgia.

The Marietta, Ga., native began his coaching career as a student assistant at West Georgia College (now the University of West Georgia) and started his high school coaching at Etowah in Woodstock, Ga. West Georgia won the Division III national championship in 1982 during his time with the Wolves.

He has served two stints on staff at Griffin (Griffin, Ga.), Flowery Branch (Flowery Branch, Ga.) and Northwest Whitfield (Tunnel Hill, Ga.) high schools as well as assignments at Bremen (Bremen, Ga.), Northside (Warner Robins, Ga.), Chattooga County (Summerville, Ga.), Elbert County (Elbertson, Ga.), Chattahoochee (Johns Creek, Ga.), Creekview (Canton, Ga.), Roswell (Roswell, Ga.), Buford City (Buford, Ga.) and Lakeview Academy (Gainesville, Ga.).

Hall reached the semifinals of the state playoffs early in his career in his first stint at Griffin and made it to the second round of the postseason in both assignments at Northwest Whitfield. He made it to the quarterfinals and semifinals in two seasons at Buford City and lost in the state finals in his one year at Roswell. Teams also played in the quarterfinals and semifinals during his time at Flowery Branch.

Hall attended Sprayberry High School in Marietta and UT Chattanooga before receiving his bachelor’s in Education from West Georgia.
