Tyler Sherman joined the Sewanee baseball staff for the 2023-24 academic year, working primarily with the outfielders and hitters while serving as the team’s strength and conditioning coordinator.
 
The St. Louis, Mo., native played collegiately at William Jewell College in Kansas City, Mo., from 2020-22, earning Academic All-GVLC honors twice during his time with the Cardinals. The outfielder spent his final collegiate season at Concordia University-Chicago in 2023, garnering NACC Scholar-Athlete accolades.
 
Sherman participated in the Ban Johnson Collegiate League in 2022, batting .338 in 82 plate appearances with a .410 on-base percentage and .435 slugging percentage.
 
He earned a bachelor’s in English from William Jewell in 2022 and is currently working on his master’s in Sports Management from Concordia-Chicago.
