Corvin Scott begins his second year as an assistant coach at the University of the South for the 2025 season.

The Tigers posted a 16-25 mark in 2024, sweeping an opening-round series in the SAA Tournament at second-seeded Berry despite a pitching staff decimated by injuries throughout the year. Hunter Herndon earned First Team All-SAA honors while Matt Munn, Charlie Teel and Will Yarbro were voted to the Second Team and Jack Roode garnered Honorable Mention accolades. The squad batted .286 as a team with 104 extra-base hits, averaging 6.2 runs per contest.
 
Scott spent two seasons as a volunteer assistant coach at Belmont University in Nashville, working primarily with outfielders and serving as the first base coach as well as spearheading the Belmont Baseball Camps.
 
He helped develop the talents of centerfielder Guy Lipscomb, who finished ninth in the country in batting average (.406) and fourth in stolen bases (42) in 2022 on the way to Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Year honors, an All-Region selection, and Third-Team All-American accolades before being drafted in the fifth round in the 2022 MLB First-Year Player Draft by the Cleveland Guardians. 

Prior to his time at Belmont, Scott spent the 2021 season as an assistant coach at King University in Bristol, Tenn., worked as a graduate assistant at Campbellsville University in Campbellsville, Ky., for two seasons, and served as an assistant coach at Volunteer State Community College in Gallatin, Tenn. During his time at these schools, he served as a first base coach and worked primarily with outfielders while helping with hitting and baserunning. 

The Nashville native played at East Nashville High School (2011-14). He earned his bachelor’s in Leisure, Sport and Tourist Studies from Middle Tennessee State in 2018 and received a master’s in Sports Management and Administration from Campbellsville in 2021.
