Sophomore (2010): Missed the season with a knee injury.

Freshman (2009): Recovered from a knee injury for much of theseason… saw action in nine games, starting two. 

Club: Played for the Winter Haven Kicks(2005-09)… as captain helped Winter Haven to a U18/19Division 1 Championships in 2009.

Prep Sports andAwards:Was avarsity team all four years…  was an all-county second teamselection as a junior and senior… was named the team’sMVP her last three years in school in addition to being theteam’s captain… most valuable defender asfreshman… led the team in assists as freshman… won theJoan Judd Scholarship as a senior… was a member of theNational Honor Society, National English Honor Society and NationalSpanish Honor Society her sophomore through senior years… wonthe calculus award as a senior… also won the school’schemistry award as a sophomore, while being a National Junior HonorSociety member her freshman year… was on the school’shonor all-four years at All Saints Academy.

Off theField: Went on the Sewanee women’s soccer trip toCosta Rica in the Summer of 2011.

Why Sewanee:Sewanee just seemed to"fit."  After havingvisited my brother, I knew that I would never be as happy at anyother college as I am at Sewanee.

Personal:SamanthaAnn Hutton was born in Lakeland, Florida… daughter of Jodyand Eileen Hutton… one brother, Jaime (22), a 2010 Sewaneegraduate… her grandfather, Joe Hutton, attended Sewanee inthe early 1940s… majoring in biology.
