SEWANEE, Tenn. – Sewanee battled No. 9 Emory to a 3-3 draw on Tuesday night at the Woodruff PE Center in Atlanta, Ga., as the Tigers remained unbeaten on the season.

Emilee Scott recorded a career-high 10 saves for the Tigers, making several key stops throughout the contest as Emory finished with a 31-8 advantage in shots.

Sewanee struck first in the 41st minute. Josie Alexander's initial shot was saved by Emory goalkeeper Rachel Carr, but Alexander collected the rebound and tapped it into the net to give the Tigers a 1-0 lead.

The Eagles quickly answered, earning back-to-back corner kicks before Melina Ramirez headed Kaitlyn Nimmer's cross into the net in the 43rd minute to even the score at 1-1.

After a scoreless opening portion of the second half, Stella Martin put the Tigers back in front in the 65th minute, scoring directly on a free kick, slotting the ball perfectly into the far top corner of the net, giving Sewanee a 2-1 lead.

Emory responded with two goals in a span of just over two minutes. Emory Bozzuti tied the match in the 69th minute, finishing after Kaitlyn Nimmer's shot hit the crossbar. Stella Gall then scored in the 72nd minute to give the Eagles their first lead of the night, 3-2.

Sewanee answered in the 83rd minute. Izzy Maurino's flip throw-in found Greer Brantley near the endline, and Brantley sent a cross into the box for Amelia Comeaux, who headed the ball past Carr to equalize at 3-3.

Scott made two more saves in the final minutes to preserve the draw, including a stop on Katie Hungness in the 83rd minute.

Both teams remain unbeaten on the season, with Sewanee moving to 4-0-2 and Emory to 4-0-3.

Emory held a 31-8 advantage in shots and 13-6 edge in shots on goal. The Eagles also earned 11 corner kicks compared to one for the Tigers.

Sewanee will face Piedmont in an exhibition match before heading to Brevard on Tuesday for a 2 p.m. CT/1 p.m. ET game.
