Congeni tabbed SAA Singles Athlete of the Week

SEWANEE, Tenn. – Mariella Congeni earned SAA Singles Athlete of the Week honors as she was 2-0 on the weekend at line one singles for Sewanee's women's tennis team.

Congeni collected a 6-0, 6-4 win against Rhodes on Saturday, and followed it up with a 6-1, 6-2 win against Millsaps on Sunday. Her two singles points helped Sewanee to 14-0 on the weekend, sweeping both conference opponents. The junior is currently ranked fifth in the Atlantic South Region.

Sewanee will close out conference play as they travel to Berry and Oglethorpe this weekend after facing Christopher Newport on Friday at Emory.
