Women's Tennis places five on SAA All-Conference Teams

SEWANEE, Tenn. – Sewanee's women's tennis team placed five on the Southern Athletic Association All-Conference teams as announced by the conference office on Wednesday afternoon.

Junior Mariella Congeni was named First-Team All-SAA in both singles and doubles. Competing primarily at the No. 1 singles position, Congeni posted a 5–1 record against conference opponents and is 11–7 overall. She is currently ranked sixth in Region IV.

Sophomore Harper High also earned First-Team All-SAA honors in singles. Playing mostly at No. 2, High recorded a 4–1 mark in conference play and is 10–7 on the season.

In doubles, the pairing of Ivy Wilson and Congeni earned First-Team All-SAA recognition. The duo went 5–1 in conference matches and 12–5 overall, and they enter postseason play ranked fourth in Region IV.

Wilson added Second-Team All-SAA honors in singles after an outstanding season at the No. 3 spot. She finished conference play undefeated at 6–0 and holds a 13–5 overall record, winning her last 10 singles matches.

The No. 2 doubles team of Lucy Lee and Emma Foster earned Second-Team All-SAA honors as well. The pair went 5–1 in conference play and 11–8 overall, winning seven of their last eight matches. Lee was also selected to the SAA All-Sportsmanship Team.
