SEWANEE, TENN. – Sewanee's men's tennis team opened conference play at Centre on Saturday afternoon, sweeping the Colonels, 7-0.

Andre-Remi Jakobi and Samuel Schroerlucke collected a fast 6-2 win at one doubles, and Lucas Wrigley and Max Verellen clinched the doubles point with a 6-2 win at three. Ben Lammert and Drew Rukavina secured the doubles sweep with a 7-5 win at two.

In singles, Rukavina rolled to a 6-0, 6-1 win at five in under an hour. Jakobi added another point for the Tigers just minutes later with a 6-3, 6-4 at one. Pizzuti clinched the match for Sewanee with a 6-4, 6-3 win at six in an hour and 15 minutes. Henry Hyden added a 6-3, 6-2 win at two, and Lucas Wrigley secured the sweep for Sewanee with a 6-2, 7-6 (4), win at four.

Sewanee will face DePauw on Sunday morning in Danville, Ky.
