Congeni, Wilson earn SAA Honors

SEWANEE, Tenn. – Sewanee's women's tennis swept the SAA weekly honors after opening their season with a conference match against Centre, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday afternoon.

Mariella Congeni earned SAA Singles of the week honors after collecting a commanding win at line one for the Tigers, dropping just one game en route to a 6-0, 6-1 win against Centre.

Congeni and Ivy Wilson earned the doubles nod as they secured the doubles point for Sewanee at line one. Congeni and WIlson saves three points while returning serve, at 4-5, before going on to secure a 7-5 win, giving Sewanee their first win of the season and first SAA win of the season.
