SEWANEE, Tenn. – Lauren Hill and Laney Kalsu each posted a goal, leading the Sewanee women's soccer team to a 2-0 victory over Berry on Friday evening at Bob Pearson Field in Mount Berry, Ga.

The Tigers struck early, finding the back of the net just 4:04 into the match. Laney Kalsu played a long ball into the box that found Lauren Hill, who beat her defender and tucked a shot inside the near post to give Sewanee a 1-0 lead.

Sewanee carried the advantage into halftime and continued to apply pressure throughout the second half, creating several scoring chances while limiting opportunities for the Vikings.

The Tigers added an insurance goal with 17:18 remaining in regulation. Off a corner kick from Stella Martin, Izzy Maurino's header struck the crossbar before Laney Kalsu headed the rebound into the back of the net to extend the lead to 2-0.

Sewanee finished with 15 shots, including 10 on goal, while Berry recorded 10 shots and three on target. Goalkeeper Ashley Vinck made three saves to earn the shutout for the Tigers.

The Tigers head to Oglethorpe on Sunday for the final regular-season match of the year at 11 a.m. ET/10 a.m. CT start.
