Ismailova wins SAA Athlete of the Week

SEWANEE, Tenn. – The Southern Athletic Association released its weekly awards Tuesday afternoon, and Sewanee's Diana Ismailova was named Athlete of the Week for women's swimming and diving.

In the Tigers' win over Centre College on Friday, Ismailova swam three individual events, placing first each time. The freshman took the 100 breaststroke in 1:08.74, the 100 butterfly in 58.90, and the 200 IM in 2:14.67.

She leads the SAA in all three events and is currently the only swimmer in the SAA to finish the 100 fly in under a minute.

Sewanee visits Emory on Saturday, October 17 at 2 p.m. ET/1 p.m. CT.
