The Tigers were sixth as a team among 13 squads in the event, behind Division II West Alabama and West Florida and meet host UT Southern.
Oberlies completed the 8K course in 27:23.18 while Myers crossed in 27:25.96 and Hughes posted a time of 27:50.46.

"This was the first race of the season of 8K for the men. They grouped well together and it was a much-improved performance over last year," head coach Mike Curcio said. "We hope to be at full strength for our home meet in two weeks."
Sewanee hosts the Mountain Goat Invitational on October 4.
