SEWANEE, Tenn. – Maggie Barker, Abbie Buckner, Sydney Tackett, and Ansley Giffin posted hits, but the Tigers fell in the first round of the Southern Athletic Association to Hendrix, 3-0.

The Tigers were held to just four hits on the day and were unable to push a run across, as Hendrix's Emily Salis tossed a complete-game shutout with seven strikeouts and no walks.

Hendrix broke a scoreless tie in the bottom of the fourth inning, taking advantage of a Sewanee error to plate the game's first run. The Warriors added two more in the fifth with back-to-back RBI hits from Tori Maldonado and Karsyn Patton to stretch the lead to 3-0.

Sewanee had opportunities early, including a runner on second in the first inning and a stolen base by Buckner in the third, but couldn't convert. Buckner also contributed in the circle, tossing a scoreless sixth inning in relief.

The Tigers will face the loser of Millsaps and Rhodes in an elimination game on Friday, May 9 at 2:30 p.m. ET.
