Women's tennis advances to 11th SAA Final

Box Score SEWANEE, Tenn. – Sarah Livingston clinched the match for the Tigers as Sewanee's women's tennis program defeated Centre College in the semifinals of the Southern Athletic Association Conference Championship in Little Rock, Arkansas, on Saturday morning. 

Sewanee advances to its 11th SAA Semifinals, its one absence coming in 2021 when Sewanee was unable to compete due to COVID-19. 
 
The Tigers clinched the doubles match as Mariella Congeni and Livingston won at No. 3 doubles, 6-0, and Ansley Carpenter and Brooke Despriet secured a 6-2 win at No. 1. 

In singles, Despriet collected the first singles win at No. 4, 6-0, 6-3. Emma Caldwell won at No. 6, 6-1, 6-0, and Livingston clinched the match for the Tigers at No. 2, with a 6-0, 6-0 win. Sewanee was up a set on the rest of the courts when the match was clinched. 

Sewanee will face the winner of Rhodes vs Berry in the Championship match on Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m.
