SEWANEE, Tenn. – Sewanee women's tennis swept Covenant on Friday afternoon in Lookout Mountain, Ga., 7-0.

The Tigers quickly swept doubles, not dropping a game across all three courts. Ansley Carpenter and Brooke Despriet led the Tigers at one, followed by Sarah Livingston and MAriella Congeni at two, and Lexi Barbee and Harper High at three.

Congeni continued to roll in singles, not dropping a game all day with an 0,0 win at three. Livingston dropped just two games with a 6-1, 6-1 win at two and Carpenter clinched the match picking up a 6-1, 6-2 win at one.

Ivy Wilson also didn't drop a game with a 6-0, 6-0 win at four while Harper High dropped just one game with a 6-1, 6-0 win at five. Barbee finished the sweep for the Tigers with a 6-0, 6-1 win at six.

Sewanee will open conference play on March 29 against Rhodes at 9 a.m. and will play Piedmont at 1 p.m.
