SEWANEE, Tenn. – Sarah Livingston took down the No. 5 ranked singles player in the country, but the Tigers fell to No. 5 Emory on the road on Sunday afternoon in Atlanta.

The match started with a battle across all three doubles courts, but Emory took the decision, as Livingston and Brooke Despriet teamed up at No. 1 doubles but fell in a match tiebreaker to Izzy Antanavicius and Iris Berman. Emma Caldwell and Ivy Wilson fell in a 4-6 decision at No. 2, and Mariella Congeni and Harper High lost 5-7 at line three.

Livingston collected Sewanee's lone point at three, against Antanavicius, ranked fifth in the nation. Livingston collected a quick first set, 6-0, but Antanavicius battled back taking the second set 7-5 and forcing a deciding third set. Livingston won the third set 6-3, to come out on top.

Despriet dropped a 6-1, 6-1 decision at No. 1 to open singles play, then Congeni fell at line three, 6-3, 6-3. Wilson fell in the overall clincher, 6-0, 6-3, Caldwell and High both dropped 6-1, 6-1 decisions at lines five and six respectively.

The Tigers return to action next weekend as they host the National Indoors in Memphis, Tenn. at the Leftwhich Tennis Center, where they face the No. 1 seeded and No. 2 ranked University of Chicago first round.
