Monaghan and Whitsett nearly hooked up for a goal in the 11

The Tigers got on the board in the 21

Whitsett played a role in the game-winner, crossing a pass from the left into the box. Del Balzo shielded a Southwestern defender and the ball was played back to Monaghan, who drilled a left-footed shot from the top of the box, just under the crossbar into the net in the 66
th minute.
Sonia Djurasovic hit the crossbar with a shot minutes later and EJ Searfoss, who played in the second half in goal for the Pirates, made a flurry of saves on shots from
Morgan Cheynet and
Rivers Carney in the 70

Laney Kalsu's header in the final three minutes also sailed high.
