Grayson White netted his second goal of the season 15 minutes into the second half but Berry College evened the match seven minutes later in a 1-1 draw against Sewanee in men's soccer action here Saturday night at Puett Field.
Neither the Tigers (1-4-4, 0-0-1 SAA) nor the Vikings found the back of the net in the first half, with Berry outshooting Sewanee, 8-7, and
Sam Harwell posting three saves in net for the home team.
The scoring picked up in the second half, with
Alpha Bah winning a ball about 35 yards from net. The ball bounced to
Noah Bjorkman, who slid a pass through to White for the goal, low and right, for a 1-0 edge for the Tigers in the 62
nd minute.
Bjorkman missed a chance just seconds later to add another goal, with his shot sailing just over the crossbar, and
Will Hawgood's opportunity later in the second period was also a little high.
The Vikings (4-3-3, 0-0-1) equalized a little more than seven minutes later after a corner kick, which was played short to Nate Dulin. A low liner to the back post was flicked in by Tracy Moon in the 69
th minute.
Sewanee travels to Oglethorpe University next Saturday, continuing conference play.
