White's goal helps men's soccer draw against Berry

Box Score SEWANEE, Tenn.Grayson White netted his second goal of the season 15 minutes into the second half but Berry College evened the match seven minutes later in a 1-1 draw against Sewanee in men's soccer action here Saturday night at Puett Field.

Neither the Tigers (1-4-4, 0-0-1 SAA) nor the Vikings found the back of the net in the first half, with Berry outshooting Sewanee, 8-7, and Sam Harwell posting three saves in net for the home team.

The scoring picked up in the second half, with Alpha Bah winning a ball about 35 yards from net. The ball bounced to Noah Bjorkman, who slid a pass through to White for the goal, low and right, for a 1-0 edge for the Tigers in the 62nd minute.

Bjorkman missed a chance just seconds later to add another goal, with his shot sailing just over the crossbar, and Will Hawgood's opportunity later in the second period was also a little high.

The Vikings (4-3-3, 0-0-1) equalized a little more than seven minutes later after a corner kick, which was played short to Nate Dulin. A low liner to the back post was flicked in by Tracy Moon in the 69th minute.

Sewanee travels to Oglethorpe University next Saturday, continuing conference play.
