SEWANEE, Tenn. – Kennedy Harcourt scored the game-winning goal with just 1:18 remaining as the Tigers defeated Delaware Valley 3-2 in field hockey action on Friday night in Pennsylvania.

Sewanee started their road trip strong, dominating the first quarter and outshooting the Aggies 5-0. However, Delaware Valley responded in the second quarter, tallying seven shots and taking a 2-0 lead off a penalty corner, followed by a second goal just over a minute later.

The Tigers found their offensive rhythm in the second half, cutting the Aggies' lead in half when Margaret Haskell netted her second goal of the season from a penalty corner taken by Natalie BeVier. Five minutes later, Catherine Crane brought the game level with her third goal of the season, making it 2-2.

In a tense fourth quarter, Delaware Valley outshot Sewanee 3-2, but goalkeeper Claire Damare came up with two crucial saves to keep the game tied. Then, in the 59th minute, Harcourt broke the deadlock with her first collegiate goal, assisted by Kylie Carter, to give Sewanee the 3-2 win.

Both teams registered eight shots on goal, but Sewanee outshot Delaware Valley 13-11 overall. Damare finished with six saves, while Delaware Valley's Alyssa Rudd made five.

Haskell, Harcourt, and Crane each scored on their only shots of the game, while Mimi Wilson led the Tigers with three shots on goal. Alex Schoener and Shepard Ramsey also contributed one shot apiece.

Sewanee improves to 3-4 on the season and will continue their road trip with a match against Swarthmore on Saturday at 1 p.m. ET.
