Women's tennis sweeps Hendrix to collect the SAA regular season title

Box Score SEWANEE, Tenn. – The women's tennis team clinched the regular season title as they defeated Hendrix 6-0, playing only until the match was clinched.

Mariella Congeni and Nicole Nowak collected the first point of the match, with an 8-3 win at line one doubles. The rest of the doubles matches were closer, but the Tigers pulled both out 8-6. Emma Caldwell and Ivy Wilson played two doubles, and Eliza Dieck and Bradley Tyer Jones played three doubles.

Congeni dropped just one game playing one singles, with a 6-0, 6-1 win. Wilson, at line four, also only dropped one game for a 6-1, 6-0 win, securing the SAA regular season title. Nowak, at line two, dropped two games, collecting Sewanee's sixth point.

Sewanee will be the one seed in the SAA tournament, hosted at Old Fort Park in Murfreesboro, Tenn. on April 26-28th. The Tigers will have a bye in the first round.
