SEWANEE, Tenn. – Charlie Pizzuti collected a 6-3, 6-2 win to clinch the match for Sewanee as they swept Oglethorpe on Sunday morning in Atlanta, Ga.

The Tigers all had the same score in doubles, collecting three 8-3 wins. Jordan Theron and Quinn Wicklunt played one, Gill Weston and Liam Baer played two, and Andre-Remi Jakobi and Tamlan Ramsey played three.

Theron made quick work of singles, dropping just three games, all in the first set for a 6-3, 6-0 win. Pizzuti clinched the match at four singles over Sam Wasko for a 5-0 Sewanee lead. At two singles, Weston finished next, defeating his opponent 6-4, 6-3.

Henry Hyden recorded a three-set win as he won the first set, 6-2, dropped the second 3-6, and took the third in the same fashion as the first, 6-2. Drew Rukavina also collected a three-set win. He lost the first 5-7, took the second 6-3, and won the super tiebreaker, 10-7. George Thomas Alexander was the last match to finish as he lost the first set in a tie-breaker, 6-7 (3), won the second 6-4, and won the superbreaker for the third set, 10-3.

Sewanee returns on the road next weekend as they face Rhodes and Hendrix for their last regular season conference matches of the year.
