SEWANEE, Tenn. – Olivia Falvey passed 400 season points as she posted 25-points in the Tigers' win over Centre on the road on Wednesday night, 78-74.

The Tigers' win over Centre secured a fifth-place conference finish, the highest since they joined the SAA.

Sewanee had the lead for almost 31 minutes of the game, pulling ahead in the first quarter, 19-13. Centre outshot the Tigers in the second quarter 13-17, but the Tigers kept the lead going into half, 32-30. Cydney Wright collected 13 points and Falvey recorded 11 in the first.

Centre came out strong after the half, tying the score at 50 all. A free throw and a last-minute jumper put the Colonels in the lead by one to end the third.

Falvey opened the fourth with a layup but Centre answered with a three to gain the lead back by two. A layup from Faith Humphrey started a six-point unanswered run for the Tigers. Falvey connected on a fastbreak layup and then recorded a steal in the next play where she was sent to the line and connected on both free throws.

With 2:44 to go, Humphrey collected the next five for the Tigers, putting them up by seven. In the last minutes of the game, Sewanee was seven-of-eight from the charity stripe for their last points of the game.
