Tigers end Hanover Invitational 2-2

SEWANEE, Tenn. – The Tigers split on their final day of the Hanover Invitational against Anderson and Kenyon as Gann recorded her second double-double of the season. The Tigers fell against Anderson in 4 and swept Kenyon in 3 to conclude the Hanover Invitational 2-2. 

Savannah Gann recorded her second double-double of the season against Anderson with 13 kills and 18 digs as the Tigers lost in four sets. Gann had a .263-hitting average and one service ace. Laurel Burkhardt had 10 kills and six digs for the game, hitting .235 for the match.  

Olivia Jones continues her three-game streak of hitting above .250 with .538 in Sewanee's sweep against Kenyon. Gann, Jacqueline Weller, and Jones led in kills with 11, 8, and 7 respectively. The Tigers hit .255 as a team against the Owls. Adele Cassidy and Emma Meyer had 10 digs for the match. 

The Tigers return to the mountain next weekend to open conference play at home. Sewanee faces Oglethorpe on Friday at 6 and then Berry on Saturday at Noon.
