Gamble Qualifies for 400-Meter Final; Men's Track and Field Opens SAA Championships

DANVILLE, Ky. - The University of the South men's track and field team started competition Friday at the 2023 Southern Athletic Association (SAA) Track and Field Championships from Andy Frye Stadium on the campus of Centre College.

TOP PERFORMERS
-Lane Gamble will run in the 400-meter finals on Saturday after a 52.32-second performance for eighth. The freshman posted a career-best in the event, improving his time by 0.13 seconds, set last week at home. 

-Cyrus Wilson led the Tigers in the 200 meters with a season-best of 23.80, while Carson Coody had a new PR in the 100 with an 11.53-second sprint.
