HOW IT HAPPENED
-After a slow start, the Tigers got the scoring going in bunches, striking for the first four goals of the game. Leading 4-0 with 3:20 left in the opening period, BSC was forced to take a timeout.

-Following the break, BSC responded with two straight goals to cut the deficit in half. However, Marlin Price's record-setting drw control helped the Tigers get a goal back. With 50 seconds left in the quarter, Price found Emma Burns' pass for her 25th goal of the year.

-In the fourth quarter, BSC made it a 14-11 deficit with a goal by Elizabeth Mitchell with 8:47 to go. Sewanee would responded with back-to-back goals by Lizzie Chamberlin to make it 16-11 to seal the victory.

MARLIN ATOP THE SAA LEADERBOARD ON THE DRAW
-Coming into the game tied for the conference single-season mark with 144 draw controls, Marlin Price's win with less than 90 seconds left in the first quarter gave her the all-time record for the Southern Athletic Association, passing two-time All-American Baylee Barker of Rhodes who had 144 after the 2021 season.

-Against Kalamazoo (Mich.) on March 23, the Carrolton, Va. native became the first Sewanee player in program history to eclipse the century mark for draw controls in a single season.

-Entering the weekend ranked third in total draw controls in the nation, the freshman is 14th in the nation with an 8.47 average.

-Below is the all-time Southern Athletic Association single season draw control record.
