CLEVELAND, Tenn. - The University of the South track and field teams continued to show great progress with new season and career marks at the Lee University Invitational, Saturday from the Ray Conn Sports Complex.

WOMEN TOP PERFORMERS
-Competing against NCAA Division I and II athletes,
Jocelyn Covaney improved her season-best in the 100 hurdles at 17.32 seconds.
-
Shay Conn improved on her time in the 800 meters by three seconds with a 2:44.51, and
Sam Ude ran a 13:12.61 in the 3,000 steeplechase.

Emma Howlett earned new career marks in the shot put (9.66m) and discus (32.01m) and finished 12th and eighth, respectively. In the hammer, she missed her career mark by 0.35 meters with a 10th place score of 33.42 meters.
MEN TOP PERFORMERS

Carson Coody set a new career-best in the 100 meters with an 11.60 dash.
Cyrus Wilson also had a new PR in with an 11.78-second sprint.

Lane Gamble (24.10) and
Carson Coody (24.13)
Jack Sutphen (24.68) all had new career marks in the 200 meters.
-Gamble also improved his best in the 400 with a ninth-place finish of 53.21 seconds.

John Wilson set new personal best throws in the discus (32.33m) and the javelin (30.20m).
