ATLANTA - The Southern Athletic Association (SAA) announced on Monday its postseason awards for women's basketball. Junior
Kayla Antoine was named an Honorable Mention after her performance during the 2022-23 regular season. She earns her first All-SAA honor in her career.
The Nashville, Tenn. native posted 14.8 points and 9.7 rebounds in 25 regular season games in 2023. She was fourth in points per game and total points (385), but her rebounding numbers were the best in the association. Antoine led all rebounders in the conference with 253, good for 44th in the country.
Additionally, her 3.4 offensive rebounds per game was tied with Montana Harris of Birmingham-Southern.
A double-double machine, Antoine posted 10 during the season, the most in the league and the 63rd-best in all of Division III.
Knocking down 169 field goals for a 44.2 percentage, her 112 free throws were good for the third-most in the SAA and 25th nationally.
