WE MEET AGAIN: The 171st meeting of Sewanee-Rhodes in men's basketball will be, in what we call in baseball, the "rubber match". Each team split its regular season series, with the home team taking the matchup. On Saturday, the teams will meet on a neutral floor.

Just the fourth meeting between the two teams in the SAA Tournament, the Tigers will be looking to eliminate the Lynx from the tournament for the first time since 2016, a 62-57 quarterfinal win in Birmingham. That season, Sewanee made it to the finals of the tournament.

KAHL GARNERS WEEKLY HONOR: The Tennessee Sports Writers Association (TSWA) announced on Tuesday, Feb. 21 its weekly award winners for men's basketball, selecting Colin Kahl of the University of the South for his efforts in Sewanee's regular-season finale win over Centre and its quarterfinal dub versus Oglethorpe.

Totaling 54 points in two games this past week, he knocked down 20-of-24 (83.3%) from the field, 4-of-6 from long distance and 10-of-14 from the charity stripe. On ball control, he grabbed 17 rebounds, dished out seven assists and also swatted away seven shots, including a career-best five against the Colonels on Feb. 15.

Against the Petrels in the SAA Quarterfinals inside Juhan Gymnasium on Feb. 19, the Roswell, Ga. native scored 16 of his 26 points in the second half. Additionally, he scored 14 straight points to give Sewanee the lead for good in the second half, capped by a 3-pointer, 53-52, with 13:20 left in the game. Shooting 10-of-13 from the floor, he was a perfect 6-of-6 in the final 20 minutes.

Grabbing nine rebounds, including five on the offensive glass, Kahl also contributed three assists and two blocks.
