SEWANEE, Tenn. - The University of the South men's basketball team suffered an 85-67 decision to No. 25 Berry College, Friday night inside Juhan Gymnasium in a Southern Athletic Association (SAA) contest.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Berry made it a five-point lead, 24-19 at the under-10 mark in the opening half. However, the Tigers responded with a run, led by a
Colin Kahl triple. That put Sewanee ahead, 25-24, with 7:30 left in the period.
-No team had more than a one-possession lead the rest of the half, as Michael Johnson's 3-pointer gave the visitors the 33-31 edge going into the locker room.
-The Tigers made it a 39-38 deficit with 17 minutes left in the second half, but Berry went on an 11-0 run to push the lead to its biggest of the night in 12, 50-38.
-From there, the Vikings, ranked 25th in the country according to D3hoops.com, ran away from the Tigers to improve to 12-0 in the league and 21-2 overall. Additionally, Berry is now 8-0 in true road games this season.

Colin Kahl set a new career-high with 29 points and added 10 rebounds. From the field, the senior dropped 9-of-15 from the field and 5-of-7 from downtown.

Russ Marr knocked down 6-of-11 shots for 17 points and added three thefts.
BERRY KEY STATISTICS
-Braxton Benham led the Vikings with 19 points, five rebounds and four steals. Michael Johnson added 17 points in 19 bench minutes.

The Tigers will continue the home stand on Sunday with Oglethorpe at 3 p.m. It will also be Senior Day for the program.
