Darling scores again, but Tigers fall to Virginia Wesleyan

SEWANEE, Tenn. – Moira Darling got her fourth goal of the weekend as the Tigers fell to Virginia Wesleyan on Sunday in Virginia Beach. 

The Tigers played down two players again but were still able to get on the board, once again from Moira Darling, who got her fifth goal of the season. Her goal came with just three and a half minutes left on the clock. Taylor Klesel, in goal for the Tigers, faced 17 shots as she posted 14 saves for the day. 

The Tigers defended the Marlins 12 corners and had no corner opportunities themselves. The Marlins had 23 shots for the game, with 17 on goal. The Tigers had three shots, two on goal. 

The Tigers return to the Mountain for a conference game against Centre on Saturday, October 14 at 10 a.m. before they head back to Virginia to play three games in three days against Roanoke, Ferrum, and Southern Virginia.
