Tigers Rout Millsaps 97-71, Five Players in Double Figures

Sewanee, TN: On Sunday, January 29th, the Sewanee Men's Basketball team took on Millsaps in the second game of a weekend home stand. The Tiger offense was lights out, leading Sewanee to a 97-71 win. Colin Kahl led all scorers with 23 points. Rashaun Williams had a career high 19 points. Tre Corrigan and Russ Marr both had 13, and Eli Holland had 11 points. Kahl also finished with 10 rebounds for a double double. Sewanee now moves to 7-2 in SAA play.  

INSIDE THE MATCH UP:

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The game started back and forth, but a three pointer from Russ Marr halfway through the first half made it 16-10 Sewanee.
- Tre Corrigan facilitated the Sewanee offense, handing out six assists in the half. 
- Marr would finish with 13 in the opening half, as the Tigers took a 42-35 lead into halftime.
- The Tigers shot 51.7% from the floor in the first half, making it tough for the visitors to come close.
- Sewanee came out firing in the second half, quickly extending the lead to 11 less than 4 minutes into the second half.
- Freshman Rashaun Williams caught fire in the second half, scoring 15 of his 19 points in the final 20 minutes. 
- A layup by Ben Folk would put Sewanee up 93-62 for their largest lead of the game. 



KEY SEWANEE STATISTICS:
- Williams scored a career high 19 points.
- Kahl recorded his first double double of the year with 23 points and 10 rebounds.
- Tre Corrigan matched his season high in assists with eight to go along with his 13 points. 
- Quinn Damnn had a season high four points in the win.

- Doug Watson had 16 points.

WHAT'S NEXT:
The Tigers hit the road for a pair of games next weekend, with Hendrix on February 3rd at 8pm, and at Rhodes on the 5th at 3pm.
