HOW IT HAPPENED
-With BSC's Grinnell offense, the Panthers sprinted out to an 11-0 lead before Sewanee was forced to burn a timeout.

-The Panthers pushed the lead to 30-2 with 1:14 left in the period, but the Tigers finished the opening quarter strong with back-to-back 3-pointers by Lilly Phillips and a jumper by Shay Conn

-The Tigers finally settled into rhythm in the second half, posting 16-of-40 from the field and outscoring the Panthers, 24-23, in the fourth quarter.

SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS
-Setting a new career-high in points (33) and rebounds (21), Kayla Antoine became the all-time leader for rebounds in a game since the University of the South joined the Southern Athletic Association in 2013, surpassing Casey Hassett's 20 in 2013.

-The junior missed the career mark of 24 set by Kim Valek, Sewanee's first female All-American, in 1987.

-The SAA sees its first 20-rebound performance since 2021 when Savannah LeGate of Oglethorpe grabbed 21 vs. Birmingham-Southern. Antoine's 21 is tied for the third-most in the 10-plus year history of the league, missing the league record of 23 set in 2013. Additionally, it is the 10th time in SAA history that a player has grabbed 20 boards in a game.

-Lilly Phillips posted 15 points on five triples, while Faith Humphrey posted five points, boards and dimes each.

-Outrebounding Birmingham-Southern 58-32 on the night, Camryn Broussard contributed nine off the glass.

BIRMINGHAM-SOUTHERN KEY STATISTICS
-McKenna Buckner and Sameera Elmasri each  led the Panthers with 17 points.
