ATLANTA - The Southern Athletic Association (SAA) released on Tuesday afternoon that sophomore
Emma Grace Hendrickson has won the first SAA Runner of the Week award for the 2022 cross country season.
The sophomore transfer paced Sewanee to a 10th place team finish with her 48th-place run of 16:09 in the 4K event. In addition, the Indepedence, Minn. native was the eighth-best finisher among Division III schools that saw 190 runners from across all three NCAA Divisions.
Hendrickson and the rest of the Tigers return to racing on Saturday, Sept. 17 for the Pretorius Invitational, hosted by Trevecca Nazarene University, from Vaughn's Gap in Nashville.
