SEWANEE, Tenn. - The University of the South swimming and diving teams have announced the 2022-23 schedule. The Tigers will host four meets inside the Fowler Center Natatorium.
Sewanee will open the season with four consecutive duals on the road. The Purple Tigers will head to Tallulah Falls, Georgia to take on Piedmont University on Saturday, Sept. 24. The Lions begin their third season of swimming in 2022-23.
Next, Sewanee will head to Marietta, Georgia in metro Atlanta for a dual with NAIA foe Life University.
Following a week off, the Purple and White wrap up the road swing with a weekend trip to Kentucky on Oct. 21-22. On Friday, the Tigers will compete with the Pioneers of Transylvania University. The next day, Sewanee will take on Southern Athletic Association (SAA) rival Centre.
The Tigers home opener will take place on Oct. 28-29 as a part of the Sewanee Invitational. The event will start at 4 p.m. on Friday with a Saturday session at 9 a.m.
After another week off, Sewanee will next host Berry in a dual meet on Nov. 12 at 1 p.m.
The fall schedule concludes with the annual Igloo Invitational on Nov. 18-19.
Following the team's winter training trip, the Tigers will host Rhodes and Tennessee Southern in a tri-meet on Jan. 21 at the Fowler Center Natatorium.
The regular season will conclude with a trip to Birmingham, Alabama for a dual with Birmingham-Southern College on Jan. 28.
The 2023 SAA Championships will once again be held at the Birmingham CrossPlex from Feb. 8-11.
