Maryville, Tenn: On Tuesday, September 13th, the University of the South Women's Soccer team defeated the Scots from Maryville 3-1.

Gabby Elve got the scoring started for the Tigers at the 15 minute mark of the first half, when she fired a header into the upper corner.
- The Tigers offensive got back on track, firing nine shots in the first half.

Leah Atkins got her first start of the season, registering three saves on the night.Â
- Three minutes into the second half,
Kylene Monaghan fired home a penalty kick that would make it 2-0 Sewanee. Her second goal of the year would eventually be the game winner.
- Maryville scored in the 61st minute, but Sewanee answered back seconds later when
Brianna Fee finished a shot off assists from
Kylene Monaghan and
Bea Richardson.
