Track and Field Celebrates Senior Day with Mountain Laurel Invitational

SEWANEE, Tenn. - The University of the South track and field teams wrapped up the regular season on Satruday by hosting the annual Mountain Laurel Invitational.

CLASS OF 2022!
-Prior to the start of the running events, senior Lexi Vanwinkle was recognized as a part of the track and field program's Senior Day festivities. 

WOMEN'S TOP PERFORMERS
-In the 1,500 meters, Janie Schmitt missed her season-best time of 1.31, as she claimed third on Saturday with a 5:18.96. 

-Lexi Vanwinkle earned her best mark in the pole vault since the Victor Ice Breaker Duals in March, as she recorded a 2.84-meter vault. 

MEN'S TOP PERFORMERS
-Clayton Tillery cleared 1.70 meters in the high jump to post fourth place.
