ATLANTA - Announced by the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) on Wednesday, the University of the South doubles team of
Natalia Nassar and
Ansley Carpenter has been honored as the SAA Women's Tennis Doubles Team of the Week.
The duo had a perfect spring break, as they won four matches at the No. 2 flight against No. 3 Pomona-Pitzer's Patria Aziz / Alex Coleman, 8-5, Julia DeLuca / Fleming Landau of No. 16 Bowdoin, 8-2, Juilette Moschella / Emily Stouch of No. 34 Babsson, 8-5 and No. 4 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps's Gabby Lee / Sydney Lee, 8-6.
So far in 2022, the team remains unbeaten with an 8-0 dual record, and including their work in the fall, they are 10-1.
The Tigers are back on the courts this Saturday with split-squad action. Half of the team will make the trek to Danville, Ky. for the team's SAA opener with Centre, while the other half will stay on the Domain and host Piedmont from the Bruton-Guerry Center.
