SEWANEE, Tenn. - The University of the South baseball team dropped a 4-1 decision to the Warriors of Hendrix College in the opener of a three-game Southern Athletic Association (SAA) series, Saturday afternoon from Puett Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-After the teams traded zeros for the first three innings, Hendrix saw back-to-back base hits to put runners on the corners. After a pop up and a free pass, the bases were loaded, and Tyler Beard walked in the Warriors' first run. The second run came as a sacrifice fly.
-Sewanee cut the deficit in half in the bottom of the sixth thanks to a pinch hit double by
Jack Ahlum that scored
Luke Short, who led off the inning with an infield hit.
-The Warriors essentially put the game out of reach with two runs in the seventh.
