HOW IT HAPPENED
-A very defensive game throughout, the first stoppage did not come until the 7:03 mark in the opening quarter as the Bears converted a free position goal. Sewanee responded nearly two minutes later with a Brooke Sigmon goal.

-The two teams went back-and-forth in the second stanza, but at the 30-minute mark, nothing was decided as the teams were even at six goals apiece.

-BSU continued wreaking havok on Sewanee, as the visitor netted four of the five goals in the period to lead 10-7 at the end of the third.

-The Tigers continued to chip away at the Bears' lead, despite having difficulty winning draw controls. Trailing 12-10 with 6:37 left in regulation, Hadley Meadows netted a goal to make it a 12-11 affair.

-With 2:20 left in the contest, Emma Burns rallied to find the back of the cage to even the score at 12 goals apiece.

-Despite their struggles at the draw, Meadows was able to pick up the ball to give Sewanee possession. After a free position shot that hit off the post, Lizzie Chamberlin found Ellie Tate Schutte for the game-winner with 35 seconds remaining.

-The Bears did pick up the ensuing draw, but Molly Morris picked off Nina Liquori's pass to seal the deal.

SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS
-Emma Burns paced Sewanee with five goals, while Hadley Meadows and Caroline Harlick each scored twice.
